Research Papers & Proposal Submission Guidelines

Submissions must be entirely original, not previously published, and must meet the following criteria:

  1. For research track submissions:
    1. Has an explicit research methodology, which has been used for data collection and research development;
    2. Has reached partial or final results on the research area or topic of interest (final and developmental papers);
    3. Include a maximum of four authors;
    4. Selected research papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (PDF, e-book with an ISBN).
  1. For pedagogy track submissions:
    1. Present a novel teaching method/learning experience which has been already used in an academic setting, and is supported by a sound theoretical framework;
    2. Present a business case study for discussion and feedback;
    3. Conduct a panel/round table discussion regarding a pedagogical issue;
    4. Related to a particular area or topic of interest;
    5. Include a maximum of four authors;
    6. Selected research papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (PDF, e-book with an ISBN).

Presentation Style and Rules

Submitted papers & proposals must be written in Spanish and/or English.

Research Track Submissions

For final and developmental papers, use a Times New Roman font size 12 points. Line spacing will be 1.5, with a length of between 15 and 20 pages on letter size paper (including references, tables, pictures, figures and images), With left and right margin of 2.5 cm. (1 in), top and bottom of 2.5 cm. (1 in.), using word processor (Microsoft Word). The document should include the following sections:

1) Front page must include title (at center), authors (to the left side, indicating their email and university or educational). All in uppercase and lowercase letters;

2) Summary of paper with a maximum extension of 200 words, including three keywords with JEL classification;

3) Content structure:

  • Introduction (a brief description including objective, research problem, achievements and impact);
  • Literature Review/State of the Art;
  • Methodology and Data Collection;
  • Preliminary findings or final results;
  • Conclusions and discussion;
  • References (APA format).

Pedagogy Track Submissions

Submission, Selection & Acceptance   

Papers and proposals will be selected following a double blind screening process, to assure with their quality level and if appropriate, be accepted.

A Selection & Arbitration Committee will coordinate all submissions revision process and will notify the paper and/or proposal acceptance or rejection. The Selection and Arbitration Committee decision will be final. Participants will be notified of the final decision by email.

Presentation of Papers and Proposals

In order for selected submissions to be published in the Conference Proceedings, papers and proposals (experiential class exercises, case studies, workshops, etc.) must be presented at the conference by at least one of the authors, according to the scheduled sessions and dates of the conference. Each presentation will be 15 minutes. There will be an assigned moderator at each session, and at the end of the presentation there will time for Q&A with a maximum duration of 10 minutes (25 minutes total).

Authors will be allowed to participate as author or co-author up to a maximum of three papers, but taking into account that one author´s conference fee only applies for one paper at a time.
