GW October Conference 10th Anniversary – Oct. 3-4

Ten years ago, Dr. El Tarabishy approached the leadership of GWSB Department of Management (Dr. Erik Winslow, Chair and an ICSB Wilford White Fellow) to start an innovative new boutique type of conference with the sole purpose at looking at the intersection of evidence-based entrepreneurship research and its implication on the development of Policy. The first conference in collaboration with ICSB was inaugurated by presentations from leading global researchers like Drs. David Storey, Paul Reynolds, David Smallbone, and Denny Dennis.
Since then, the GW Global Entrepreneurship Policy & Research conference (GW October) held one of its presentation days at partner organizations like the World Bank, IFC, IADB, US Chamber of Commerce, NFIB, and other great institutions. Other global leaders joined like Dr. Patricia Greene from Babson College, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Jim Clifton from Gallup, the United States Small Business Administrator, and Senior World Bank Directors.
2019 is the 10th Anniversary of GW October Conference.
GW October Conference invites all who attended previously and new delegates to join for a Special Anniversary Celebration.
ICSB International Office is proud to announce the Call for Papers and Registration is open for the 10th annual GW October Conference titled, “Entrepreneurship Ecosystems – The Future Ahead”.
The conference to be held October 3-4 with paper and workshop session and it includes a special pre-conference on October 2 hosted by ICSB International Office in collaboration with United States Small Business Administration (SBA).
SBA will provide an all-day session on the five pillars that are necessary to support SMEs. Other topics on entrepreneurship policy and the role of the state will address the role that government policy plays in shaping the climate for small business starts and growth.

The normally two-day program has been expanded with pre-conference workshops.
The ICSB Global Certificate Program will also be held, including:
- Global Social Entrepreneurship Certificate,
- Creativity and Innovation Certificate, and,

We invite authors to submit brief abstracts for the opportunity to present at the conference on various topics including Humane Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurship Ecosystems, Entrepreneurship & SME Policy.
