FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2/27/2018
Together, the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) and Tatweer Misr have renewed their partnership for 2017-2018 to promote the growth and development of small businesses worldwide.
On January 19, 2018 in Washington DC, USA, the organizations formalized their partnership agreement for 2017-18 to focus on creating a World Class University in Egypt with Entrepreneurship and SME development as its main ethos, as well as to extend existing programs and creating new opportunities for ICSB members to become more involved in Tatweer Misr’s Small Business advocacy efforts.
Established in 2014, Tawteer Misr is an Egyptian Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company that brings a wealth of industrial and real estate experience through its joint shareholders and executive management. The key shareholders comprise Arafa, Daoud and Ahram, some of the leading business groups in Egypt. Additionally, the executive management of Tatweer Misr possesses vast technical and administrative expertise needed to fulfill the vision of building value through mixed-use residential developments based on elegant and luxurious modern architecture and landscaping.
The company has taken steady strides in the real estate market, achieving significant success in creating new communities in Ain Sokhna and the North Coast, and hence redefining the map of real estate development in Egypt through its flagship projects, Il Monte Galala and Fouka Bay.
Both ICSB and Tatweer Misr have a continuing role to play in ensuring small business has access to knowledge and resources that will allow them to grow and be successful. Tatweer Misr supported the ICSB 2016 World Conference at the United Nations and then followed up with another major signing event at the United Nations with the creation of the United Nations Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day (MSMEs Day) to be celebrated on June 27 of every year. At the United Nations May 2017 event, Tatweer Misr became an ICSB MSMEs Founding Partner.
