Catharina Badra Nawangpalupi
With a research area in design and innovation, Catharina is a research fellow at the Centre of Excellence SME Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR), Bandung, Indonesia. She is currently Data Manager for Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Indonesia and was Team Leader for 4 years (2013-2016). Handling and managing national survey for entrepreneurship for more than 6 years, she has an excellent skills and knowledge in quantitative data analysis. She is also the Head of Institute for Development and Innovation, UNPAR. Obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia, Catharina continued her Master’s degrees in the University of New South Wales (UNSW, Australia), and Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). She obtained a PhD degree in Sustainable Product Design from the UNSW and is a full-time lecturer in the Industrial Engineering Department. Catharina has given various trainings in capacity building and research skills. She is teaching various courses, including Product Design, Technopreneurship, System Modeling, Strategic Partnership, and Industrial Ecology. Catharina is involved in SME capacity building program as a coach for training in Business Plan. Catharina has experience as a team leader and a team member of several research projects and has successfully managed various grants including study and recommendation for impact assessment, project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, entrepreneurship, business model and market system development. She is also consultant for various organizations, Indonesian ministries and local government, including Australia Awards, KOMPAK, ILO, Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs and Bappenas (National Planning Agency).Topics of Expertise: Entrepreneurship, Small Business, Innovation Creativity, Design Thinking
