David L. Harkins

David Harkins is a practitioner/scholar, with a focus on innovation leadership, strategic change, and organizational culture development in the nonprofit sector. In his career, David has advised many well-known organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, the Arthritis Foundation, the American Bar Association, the Boy Scouts of America, Disabled American Veterans, Girl Scouts of the USA, Microsoft, the National 4H Organization, the National FFA Organization, and Special Olympics, to name a few. David is a Certified Professional Coach and holds a Master of Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University, and is a doctoral candidate in Organization Development and Change at Bowling Green State University. He will join the faculty at Belmont University in August 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Social Entrepreneurship. He currently teaches at Georgia Southern University as Visiting Instructor of Management. He has held adjunct teaching assignments at American Public University, Bowling Green State University, and Western Carolina University.
