Ruth Dwyer

Pivoting pediatrician interested in how social entrepreneurship and small business can facilitate/accelerate SDG success. Transferable skills include: on-line and IRL leadership, creative problem-solving, client relationships, and the ability to understand and translate complex information into written material and/or presentations. As a Physician Entrepreneur, I have participated and led the development of multiple real-world start-ups. Past projects have included: -Multiple online and IRL group projects both as the Project Leader and as a Participant. -Opened and expanded primary care office. Contributions included: exploring new technology (early adapter of telemedicine, and EMR) and proposing unique collaborative endeavors with community partners. -Member and later president of the far-sighted board that obtained the 4/09 FTC "yellow light letter" to initiate and develop one of the first Clinically Integrated Networks in the country. -Developed and implemented ACO, -Developed medical portion of community Child Advocacy Center. Clinical expertise includes hospital and outpatient care of infants through young adults. Significant volunteer teaching experience with University of Maryland medical students, physician extenders, and high school student mentoring.
