We are proud to recognize the ORSÙ Innovation Lab at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy) as the recipient of the ICSB 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Education Excellence – Undergraduate Award—an international honor celebrating transformative leadership in undergraduate entrepreneurship education.
Founded and led by Prof. Mario Carrassi, Orsù exemplifies what human-centered, experiential, and impact-driven entrepreneurship education looks like in practice. Over the years, Orsù has evolved into a regional catalyst for innovation and sustainability, generating initiatives that extend well beyond the classroom. Flagship efforts such as Puglia Generation, developed with the Apulia Region’s Department for Youth Policies, have empowered student teams to co-design innovative solutions for youth participation, employability, and civic engagement. More recently, Green Connect (2025–ongoing) brings together students, academics, and local partners to co-design sustainable green spaces at the University of Bari as living labs for well-being and social connection.
These initiatives clearly demonstrate Orsù’s ability to extend its influence beyond academia, positioning undergraduate education as a civic force that prepares a new generation of entrepreneurs and leaders to transform society through sustainable innovation. Through teamwork, mentoring, and deep partnerships with companies, NGOs, and public organizations, participants develop the creative, reflective, and relational abilities needed to act as true agents of change in complex systems.
