Dr. Alina Landowska is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategy and International Business at Kozminski University in Warsaw. Her research explores the intersection of International Relations, Geoeconomics, Narrative Economics, and Morality in Economic Decision-Making. She places particular emphasis on Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) and the role of narratives in shaping investment behavior, public discourse, and socio-economic dynamics.
Methodologically, her work bridges qualitative and quantitative approaches, employing Natural Language Processing (NLP), corpus linguistics, and large-scale text analytics to study economic narratives in both historical and real-time contexts.
With over 20 years of international advisory and academic experience, she has worked with business and policy communities to foster strategic partnerships and support Poland’s economic development. She represented the Employers of Poland in the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the OECD, and since 2015, she has served as a Polish national expert in the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), where she contributes to global discourse on entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
She has received scholarships from both domestic and international institutions, including the Tantur Ecumenical Institute in Jerusalem (affiliated with the University of Notre Dame, USA), The Baltic University Program (Uppsala, Sweden), the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (Kalmar, Sweden), and the Royal Danish Studentship Fund for International Students (Copenhagen, Denmark).
