Jeffrey R. Alves is a passionate advocate for MSMEs, award-winning faculty member, author, mentor, and entrepreneur. He has served on the ICSB Board since 2007. During his tenure he has been recognized for his leadership and served ICSB in a variety of roles including: President, Senior Vice President for Finance and Control, Founding Co-director of the ICSB Academy, and Founding Editor of the Journal of the International Council for Small Business. He is the former Dean of the Jay S. School of Business and Leadership, Professor of Entrepreneurship Emeritus, and former Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at Wilkes University. He holds a PhD in Finance and Small Business from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a MBA from Southern Illinois University, a BS from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and MA and MFA degrees in Creative Writing from Wilkes University.
