This session will explore how innovative ideas are transformed into real-world impact, with insights from founders actively building and scaling in the robotics space.

About Pinto: Pinto Robotics develops automation solutions for restaurant kitchens. 75% of all restaurant orders in the US are takeout or delivery. The rise of takeout increases the need for packaging. Their first product, PODS, is a countertop robot that automates packing portion cups, a common task across all quick service restaurants. The company is currently piloting PODS with multiple restaurants including large international chains and is preparing to start production this summer.

About Gus: Gustavo “Gus” Castillo is a second time founder, and an MIT trained engineer. For the last 30+ years his family has owned and operated a chain of Mexican restaurants in LA. He spent 8 years working in the automotive industry with the last 5 years focused on commercializing autonomous vehicles. Through Pinto, Gus is combining his robotics and restaurant experience to help restaurants manage their costs and unlock new capabilities.
