RMIT’s Master of Fashion (Entrepreneurship) program has been awarded the 2025 Global Graduate Entrepreneurship Education Excellence Award by the International Council for Small Business (ICSB). The recognition places the Melbourne-based program among a select group of educational models shaping the future of entrepreneurial learning worldwide. A Classroom That Extends Into the City. At the center of the program’s success is a distinctive educational approach. Students do not learn entrepreneurship solely through lectures and case studies. Instead, the city itself becomes part of the curriculum.

People-Centered Entrepreneurship] Establishing Standards and Trade Cooperation Initiative for Sustainable Trade and MSMEs Development In a keynote on people-centered entrepreneurship at the Chungchon International Conference, Dr. KiChan Kim emphasized that the future of international trade must place people and MSMEs at its core. Highlighting cooperation, inclusion, and humanity, he argued that standards should function as bridges of trust rather than barriers, enabling MSMEs to move from deal takers to deal makers and participate in shaping the rules of trade. With MSMEs representing 90% of global businesses, Dr. Kim proposed commitments to sustainable, resilient trade that protect human dignity, promote global solidarity, and position standards as practical tools for inclusive and people-driven economic growth.

ICSB Human Centered Entrepreneurship
The three key principles of Human-Centered Entrepreneurship are:
-
Empathy – deeply understanding the needs, realities, and constraints of people, including customers, employees, communities, and stakeholders.
-
Empowerment – enabling individuals and entrepreneurs with the confidence, agency, and capabilities to act, decide, and lead.
-
Enablement – creating supportive systems, institutions, policies, and tools that allow entrepreneurship to thrive sustainably and inclusively.
Together, these principles place human dignity and well-being at the heart of entrepreneurial action.
