The 2026 Arts Entrepreneurship Conference will be held at Florida State University in Tallahassee from March 26–28, 2026, under the leadership of Eric Liguori. The interdisciplinary program brings together scholars, educators, artists, and practitioners to explore arts, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with highlights including a Meet the Editors session and a gala awards celebration on March 27. This study shows that tourism entrepreneurial success in an emerging economy is strongly influenced by gender, age, education, experience, and innovation. Women, younger entrepreneurs, and those with lower levels of education are more likely to struggle, whereas older, educated, and experienced entrepreneurs are more likely to succeed. This is important because it helps policymakers and educators design targeted support and training to enhance the sustainability and inclusion of tourism businesses (read more)
