We often assume that giving MSMEs more financial knowledge, digital tools, and institutional support will make them stronger. But possessing financial capability is not the same as actually using it—consistently, repeatedly, until good financial behavior becomes part of how a business operates. This new study introduces Financial Behavior Embeddedness (FBE) to explain that missing step: how financially responsible behaviors become organizational routines, strengthen financial management, and ultimately support business continuity, resilience, and MSME sustainability. The real question may not be simply what entrepreneurs know about finance, but what they repeatedly do with that knowledge. (read more)
