ICSB Remembers Zuhier Tarabishy: The Man Who Shaped Our President’s Vision for Entrepreneurship
The International Council for Small Business (ICSB) extends its heartfelt condolences to President Dr. Ayman Tarabishy and his family following the passing of his father, Zuhier Tarabishy (1932-2025). Mr. Tarabishy was not only a devoted family man but also the architect of the values and vision that guide our President’s work in the global entrepreneurship community today.
A Legacy Built on Family and Enterprise
Zuhier Tarabishy was a devoted husband to Loredana for over 50 years and a loving father to three sons—Ayman, Karim, and Ivan. As a successful entrepreneur, business owner, social entrepreneur, and philanthropist, he believed deeply that business should be a force for good in the community.
The First and Most Influential Teacher
Dr. Tarabishy has often shared how his father became his first business mentor. At just nine years old, young Ayman served as his father’s personal business assistant, observing negotiations and learning how to establish and maintain relationships. After each meeting, Mr. Tarabishy would explain the nuances of building successful enterprises, lessons in patience, wisdom, integrity, and vision that became the foundation of Dr. Tarabishy’s distinguished career in entrepreneurship education.
His father’s old-school approach to leadership, rooted in community impact and genuine relationships, continues to guide ICSB’s mission and inspires the countless students and entrepreneurs Dr. Tarabishy mentors globally.
A Living Legacy
Colleagues often note how frequently Dr. ElTarabishy speaks of his father, a testament to how deeply those lessons were imprinted. Mr. Zuhier Tarabishy was a good man who lived with purpose and loved deeply. His legacy lives on through his family and the global entrepreneurship community his son serves with the same dedication and vision he learned at his father’s side.
The ICSB community stands with the Tarabishy family during this difficult time. May his memory be a blessing, and may his legacy endure in the lives he touched.
