ICSB HEADQUARTERS

The ICSB International Office is located at The George Washington University School of Business and serves to coordinate and implement the day-to-day activities of the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).
Services of the International Office include (but are not limited to): Assisting the board of directors and senior management with action planning processes and in the delivery of action plan tasks; Generating, maintaining and providing services to ICSB membership from non-affiliated parts of the world; Promoting ICSB and Maintaining marketing materials; Overseeing the production and ensuring the timely delivery of key ICSB products and services; Providing support to ICSB affiliates; and Supporting ICSB Board activities.

Pierre Girgis

Advisor to ICSB President and CEO

Pierre Girgis is currently working for capital one bank and has worked in the banking industry for the past 13years. Most recently Mr. Girgis has worked as a V.P Business Relationship Banker. Mr. Girgis graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and business management. micro in Marketing. Mr. Girgis is currently a special adviser to the ICSB International Office in Washington DC. He advises the US board. Mr. Girgis volunteer in many events, he helped in planning the ICSB MSMEs summit at the United Nations in 2017 and many other events. Mr. Girgis enjoys traveling, and working on new ideas and adventures he is also an entrepreneur, he co-founded of Banker & Co Inc. Focusing on corporate travel and event management solutions.

Skye Blanks

Skye Blanks serves as a Project Manager for the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), and serves as the Director of the Knowledge Hubs (KHubs) project, which are institutions or networks, dedicated to capture, share and exchange development experiences with national and international partners in order to accelerate development for micro-small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). He also specializes in the ICSB’s Entrepreneurship certificate programs. 

In addition to being a project manager, Skye is a Presidential Fellow at The George Washington University and is pursuing an MBA from the George Washington School of Business. Established in 1989, the Presidential Fellowship Program (PAF) is a two-year commitment which combines classroom education, professional experiences, and ambassadorial interaction with University leadership, faculty, staff, and alumni to provide an excellent learning experience in leadership and administration.

 Skye currently holds a BA in International Affairs with a concentration in International Development from The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. 

Before dedicating his work towards the ICSB, Skye worked abroad as a Research and Development Intern for the Barcelona based NGO, Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo.

Skye also served as a Treasury Scholar, working in the US Department of Treasury’s Office of Development Results and Accountability, within the Office of International Affairs, where he helped to analyze international economic development policies and review country strategies, projects, and evaluations for the Multilateral Development Banks.

In his free time Skye enjoys going to the gym to powerlift and train. Spending time with his family and friends, traveling and making creative content on financial literacy and life skills in the form of videos and podcasts.

Kyle Lyon

Kyle Lyon is a Project Manager and Membership Coordinator at the International Council for Small Business (ICSB). 

He assists in the organization’s daily upkeep, action planning, and delivery of key products and services. In particular, he manages web, social, and business analytics, conducts bookkeeping and oversees all member accounts working as a liaison between the organization and its members worldwide.

Outside of ICSB, Kyle is a full-time graduate student in the School of Business at the George Washington University. Kyle is pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics.

Before working at ICSB, Kyle served as a Legislative Intern for the Office of Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE).

Tammy Nguyen

Tammy Nguyen recently graduated from San Diego State University, receiving a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. While attending SDSU, she worked with the Lavin Entrepreneurship center as the event coordinator to plan and run the California Entrepreneurship Educators Conference two years in a row. Tammy was also the Program and Mentorship coordinator for the Lavin Entrepreneurship Program that has been geared towards providing students from all over the campus entrepreneurship courses, skills, tools, and a valuable network to help develop future and current entrepeneuers. Outside of school, Tammy is President of Streets of Hope San Diego, a non-profit organization that provides food and resources to the homeless weekly. She also volunteers by running 4-6 business events yearly with Awaken Church’s Pathfinders Team.

Ruth Dwyer, MD

Senior Project Manager

Dr. Ruth Dwyer. MD,  serves as the Senior Project Manager for the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).

Pivoting pediatrician interested in social entrepreneurship, small businesses, and the SDGs. Ruth has worked on numerous medical startups. She enjoys painting, playing games, shooting hoops, and time with my family.

Mariya Yesseleva-Pionka, PhD

ICSB Global Certificates Manager

Dr. Mariya Yesseleva-Pionka, PhD, serves as the Global Certificates Manager for the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).

Dr Mariya Yesseleva-Pionka is Global Certificates Manager at ICSB, a Higher Degree by Research Supervisor at Excelsia College and Adjunct Academic at the University of Technology  Sydney, Australia. Dr Yesseleva-Pionka held teaching and senior academic management positions in Central Asia (Kazakhstan) and Australia. She specialised in general investments, personal and corporate superannuation investments while working for Westpac Banking Corporation and BT Financial Group in Australia. She was invited to join The Housing Connection, a not-for-profit organisation in Sydney, Australia as Treasurer and Board Member from November 2019. Her research interests include entrepreneurial finance, traditional and alternative ways to finance small and medium enterprises (SMEs), corporate finance, policies for the small business sector, innovation and SMEs, FinTechs and Blockchain. Dr Yesseleva-Pionka is the Associate Editor for the Journal of the International Council for Small Business (JICSB). 

Frederick Crane, PhD

Senior Project Manager

Frederick Crane serves as a Senior Project Manager for the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).

Dr. Crane is an Executive Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the College of Business at Northeastern University; Former Editor of the Journal of the Academy of Business Education; and co-founder of Ceilidh Insights LLC – an innovation management training, intellectual property consulting
and consumer insight company. He was formerly a professor of marketing and entrepreneurship at the University of New Hampshire and a Chair and Full professor at Dalhousie University.

At Northeastern, he developed the graduate new venture creation course; the undergraduate innovation course – which is now taught campus-wide; and developed the online MBA course on innovation and enterprise growth. He also serves as the Faculty Advisor for the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club. Every semester at least one of his teams from his new venture creation course goes on to commercialize a business.

Nouf Al-Neyadi is a Special Projects Manager within the International Council for Small Business (ICSB). Nouf holds responsibilities corresponding to journal management for both the Journal of Small Business Management (JSBM) and the Journal of the International Council for Small Business (JICSB). These official publications of ICSB aim to deliver quality research articles within the areas of small business management, entrepreneurship, and micro-small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).


Nouf is also a full-time MBA Candidate at The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) focusing on Global Management as well as Marketing and Brand Management. Nouf completed her undergraduate studies from GWSB in Fall 2019 to obtain a BBA, a minor in Communications, and a dual concentration in International Business and Marketing. She holds over 5 years of experience in business management where she gained a passion for work that directly promotes diversity, curiosity, and creativity. She has a growing interest in global management to further improve the domestic and international business culture by utilizing a global mindset.

A graduate of Douglass College for Women at Rutgers University, she has a passion for women’s issues and strives to help women be their best. She also has years of experience fundraising for nonprofit organizations. She is the Director of Sponsorship for the ICSB, a wife, a mom, and a curious questioner.
